2015 was a great year for 3hattrio. Working with Devon Leger and Carl-Eric Tangen in Seattle we got the new CD out to reviewers and radio stations. The response in Europe has been particularly gratifying. Sometimes things were lost in translation such as the Google translation of our first review in Dutch which depending on which digital translation we used concluded, "Respect the Hat." Or in the other translation said something like "We respectfully decline the hat." The first translation has become the band motto.
We knocked 'em for a loop at the Moab Folk Festival. Working and performing with Bill Evans and the Repertory Dance Theater was a magical week. We are excited about starting to work on a new album after the first of the year then go cowboy up in Elko for the National Cowboy Poetry Gathering.
We have a completed mix for our new album which will be released this summer. Currently the cover, notes and a marketing plan are in the works. We will keep you posted on our progress. thank you for your support.

Please join us for this inaugural musical event to try out the acoustics of the newly renovated Historic Meeting House in downtown Pocketville (Virgin). All proceeds will benefit landscaping and an outdoor dance floor for Virgin Heritage Square. Please consider donating generously. The 3hattrio performs original American Desert Music based on the natural landscape of our sacred homeland and the cultural traditions of the American West.
2hats of 3hats just returned from a very productive 2weeks of songwriting and music making at the UCross Foundation near Buffalo, Wyoming. Greg Istock and Hal Cannon were selected to join other artists - writers, visual artists and another composer - to be residents at the retreat and be treated to space and time to work uninterrupted. It was a fantastic experience to create music day and night. We are hopeful some of this music, partially developed, will translate to a new recording. We will keep you posted. Our thanks to the UCross Foundation for this great gift.
