Acknowledgements from Hal Cannon: Working on Tomb of Joseph was a profound personal experience. The unforeseen connection I made with my ancestors who lived through the most joyous and profoundly tragic time of Mormonism changed my life. My first thanks are to Phil Tuckett who is a soldier for exploration, creativity and meaning. He is such an interesting filmmaker and having me compose the music before anything was shot was daunting and yet freeing. He challenged me and the 3hattrio to become a Greek (Nauvoo) Chorus helping tell the story of 1840's on a bend in the Mississippi River and of the Tomb of Joseph. Brian Christiansen and his family gave all of us the opportunity to tell the story. The crew with T.C. Christensen at the helm were not only purely professional but game to try new ways of doing things. I had so many great conversations about the history of the time, the emotion, the music with Joseph Johnstun and my cousin Stephen Jardine. Thanks to our manager Courtney Oertel for sticking with us. And last my thanks to the other 2 hats of 3hattrio, Eli Wrankle and Greg Istock. Greg Istock truly made my simple compositions sing. He is a genius musician and arranger. And yes, a final thanks to our partners who supported us, Phil's darling Judy, my darling Teresa, Greg's darling Val, and Eli's darling Clair.
